AECOM CM CEI Transportation Business Line Manager in Houston, Texas
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Transportation Construction Management and Construction Engineering and Inspection (CM/CEI) Regional Division Manager for immediate employment in California or in any of our US West Region offices. This position has some flexibility in terms of work location. This position includes occasional travel to our offices throughout the Central and West United States.

This position is a member of our Transportation Leadership Team. Main responsibilities of the position would include but not limited to:

Drives the financial execution of the P&L for the Division.
Regularly evaluates the efficiency of the business and implement improvements to promote profitability within the CM/CEI Division; provides operational support to the Director of Operations and Regional Business Line Leader (RBLL) and acts as a conduit for the Division in relation to financial performance, monitoring and reporting, delivery excellence, health and safety and risk management.
Provides continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless client service.
Influences and supports the Regional Market Sector Leaders (MSLs) to achieve their sales and bookings performance targets.
Meets with clients to identify future opportunities and drives the backlog of the business.
Leads the development of proposals, including scopes and fee estimates for new work.
Participates in marketing, prepositioning, selling, pre-bids and bid openings.
Monitors construction progress and costs; takes corrective action as required to manage both schedule and budget.
Responds to questions and concerns from your team and our clients.
Administers the change order and allowance process; reviews requests for schedule or cost adjustments and negotiates changes to the contract; prepares change order documents for approval.
Visits construction sites to observe work in progress. Provides guidance and direction as needed to the project inspectors and Team Managers.
In addition, the Key Performance Indicators for the position includes: Contribution margin, sales, revenue earned, bookings, book-to-burn, backlog growth, SNB conversion, market share, BD ROI, client/account NSR, client satisfaction, industry leadership, hiring and staff retention, safety and ED&I.
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 12 years of experience related to engineering and construction in transportation; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education; including a minimum of 4 years of leadership.
Enterprise Business Acumen proven experience – deploys world-class business practices, exerts enterprise-level influence, demonstrates cross-cultural business savvy.
Communication skills – builds broad and deep external networks, uses a full range of available communication mediums to inspire and engage others, demonstrates empathy, understanding and exceptional active listening skills, elicits feedback and encourages others to speak up.
Managing teams: Builds high performance organizations, is an architect of change, expands capability and capacity, drives flawless execution; experience with managing large teams across regions, and communicating with several clients.
Related industry certifications and prior experience: PE preferred, MBA preferred, transportation construction background highways, bridges and/or transit, strong client relationships with transportation agencies.
Drivers license may be required for the position.
