The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Provides leadership and support to Operations to help the organization achieve SH&E goals and objectives
Assists the business to meet regulatory requirements relating to specific SH&E obligations
Review all Job Hazard Analyses and Site Specific Safety Plans prepared by trade contractors to ensure conformance to AECOM safety requirements and standards
Oversee daily Safety Review Meetings, Safety Orientation Training Meetings, and Toolbox Safety Meetings with personnel
Review and oversee the field operations of all contractors on site and identify potential safety hazards and/or violations that must be corrected
Document and follow-up to ensure that all necessary safety violations are adequately addressed and corrected
Prepare Monthly Safety Review/Safety Audit Reports and distribute to project stakeholders.
Investigate any lost time or safety incidents, and document the facts of the events.
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or AA/AS (US) + 6 years of related experience or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 6 years of related experience or HS/GED + 8 years of related experience
Familiar with requirements of and experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance
Computer/Software proficiency with Microsoft Office proficiency required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proficient in English in both written and oral communication
Construction experience
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 hour Certification
CHST or CSP Certification
