AECOM is searching for candidates that have project management experience with leadership qualities, client-focused, impactful and decisive. This position will provide project management of facility design projects throughout the Pacific region primarily in Guam, Japan, Hawaii and Korea. This opportunity will provide management services for primarily Federal projects and may involve aspects of construction of facility type projects. The position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Accountable to the P&L manager for overall successful delivery of the project
Responsible for the AECOM project management tools
Ensures compliance with the contract requirements
Regularly meets with the client to confirm client’s expectations
Ensures execution of project deliverables consistent with the project plan
Facilitates cross business line, inter-office and consultant work activities
Effectively manages project personnel and technical interfaces
Engages in development and presentation of client presentations and client meetings
Coordinates the deliverables
Coordinates with the Design Quality Control Manager
Manages and maintains the schedule
Responsible for the financial aspects of the project
Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies
Provides management and guidance to other managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface
Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.
Typical projects may include the following characteristics:
Clients with a national geographic footprint
Projects involving a full spectrum of services
Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
Manages all phases of projects from beginning to close out
Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture plus eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Currently a licensed architect or licensed engineer in the following disciplines: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural
Due to nature of work, US Citizenship is required.
An Architect or Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of architecture
Familiarity with engineering principles in various disciplines and a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
Good communication skills essential for team-based working
Excellent planning and organization skills required for a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated, critical thinker with a proactive attitude willing and able to take on new opportunities and challenges
Able to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of applications proficiently
