Position Title Electrical Engineer

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Electrical Engineer for immediate employment for project sites in Honolulu, HI. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Project assignments may include, although not limited to Subway & LRT stations, transit maintenance facilities, parking structures
Travel to the construction sites to conduct Electrical inspections and prepare reports
Represent AECOM electrical on-site with client and contractors
Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, technical specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, cost estimates, detailed analyses and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes
Development of electrical power and distribution design concepts with architects, engineers and owners; Design of lighting, fire alarm, communications systems, lightning Protection, and Grounding
Communicate to obtain the necessary information both internally and externally from Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Consultants, and clients
Ensuring design conforms to all applicable codes and client standards
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of progressively responsible applicable experience including field experience
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm in design of electrical systems
Strong communication skills
Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Sound judgment supported by excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work to tight schedules and control project budgets
Well organized, self-directed work habits with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and schedule tasks managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
Must be a good team player and decision maker
Must possess a valid driver's license
Thorough understanding of SCADA systems and experience with instrumental control wiring
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Have local experience in above mentioned markets with strong ties and background in the local market, Transit authorities and consulting community
Experience with SCADA systems and instrumentation and control wiring
Experience with DC Traction Power Systems
Some Project Management experience and training
