Job Description
Business Line: Geotechnical (Hong Kong)
Position: Assistant Resident Engineer, Structural (RSE-T3)
Our Geotechnical expertise provides the robust foundation for infrastructure development, helping clients to overcome complex topographical challenges to their projects, developing unique solutions where needed. We provide one-stop access to the full range of services for the efficient and effective delivery of geotechnical solutions, from feasibility studies, to detailed design, to project management including contract administration and construction supervision.
Responsibilities
Assist the Chief Civil Engineer on all aspects of civil / structural / geotechnical engineering works
Accountable and report to the RSE/RGE under supervision of the RSE/RGE’s Representative
Provide professional assistance to TCP T5 or design office as appropriate
Carry out specific tasks as per requirement and checklist devised from RSE/RGE;
Check the works in compliance with the approved plans, the approved temporary works, method statements, precautionary and protective measures;
Monitor and supervise the work of the Registered Contractor's TCPs;
Deal with non-conformities by making referral to the RSE/RGE’s representative and communicate by notifying TCPs in other streams
Enforce ethics and compliance policy including Third Party payment, Sub-consultancy engagement process and Gift and Entertainment poli
Project location: Lamma Island (with shuttle ferry to/from project site; Pier at Tsim Sha Tsui / Central / Ap Lei Chau)
Normal work hours: 6 days per week (Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.; Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree holder in civil / structural / geotechnical engineering or related discipline(s) with 2 years in building structures; or Higher Certificate/ Higher Diploma holder in civil / structural / geotechnical engineering with minimum total relevant working experience of 5 years in building structures
Effective individual contributor with ability to work well in team
Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to meet various deadlines to complete tasks and project works assigned
Self-motivated with high personal drive for achievements and success
Knowledgeable in IT tools including business and engineering software and applications
Good command in written & spoken English while Chinese language skills
Experiences in quality supervision in pre-cast reinforced concrete is preferred
