Assist RIOW in the supervision of the works on site.
Carry out field work investigation and to assist in problem investigation.
Under the supervision of RE / RIOW, ensure that works are carried out according to specifications and drawings and identifying faulty materials, workmanship, etc.
Report to the RIOW / professional staff on site problems, progress, quality workmanship, etc.
Ensure proper contract management and that site measurements, diaries and other records are kept up-to-date.
Be responsible for the general supervision of work done by contractors and check whether it complies with drawings and approved method statements.
Maintain site records.
Arrange and monitor method tests and soil tests.
Control and direct RWS and contractors' activities.
Check that the contractors follow the agreed works programmes.
Deal with any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by his superior.
Candidates should have Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute/college or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with at least 3 years relevant post-qualification experience; or
Higher Certificate from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or a technical institute/college or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with at least 4 years relevant experience inclusive of 1 year relevant post-qualification experience;
At least 3 years appropriate experience as Works Supervisor I.
