AECOM’s Hamilton Office are leading a wide range of projects involving design and analysis, field investigations, reporting and project management. We are looking for a strong leader with great interpersonal and communication skills to join our Civil Infrastructure team as the Geotechnical Team Leader.
The AECOM Ground Engineering and Tunnelling team is dynamic and collaborative within New Zealand and across the world. There is plenty of scope to develop your career, gain exposure to global mega–projects and work on the full range of projects in the Upper North Island across the a wide variety of infrastructure sectors including transport, power, buildings, flood management and 3 waters.
As a key member of the local leadership team, the Team Leader is be responsible for looking after our team of 7 energic and driven engineering geologists and geotechnical engineers. You will work with our key clients, maintain and develop relationships and help build the careers for your team. You will also be encouraged to develop and grow your own technical strengths and interests.
This role works with our Waikato / BOP Civil Infrastructure Team Leader and is supported by a network of Director and Principal Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists across New Zealand and Australia.
To be successful in this role you will be a people person and natural communicator, and bring a detailed knowledge of local geological conditions into the team. You will be comfortable engaging with clients and strive for high quality client service and delivery.
This role is an ideal opportunity for an existing team leader looking for a new challenge, or someone who is wanting to extend their professional skills with their first team leadership opportunity. You will have achieved or be striving for CPENG and suitable tertiary qualifications to fulfil this role.
Ideally you will bring over 10 years' experience working across a variety of local and national geotechnical projects.
CPEng – preferred
Suitable degree with supporting interests in business development, project management or technical specialty.
