Job Description
As Digital Lead – Building Services, NZ, you will be leading and developing our national team’s technical capabilities and coordinating with our AECOM global design teams to deliver accurate, timely and efficient production of drawings, models or other technical outputs with a particular focus on Revit and BIM. The role requires performing complex technical tasks (most often using Revit, BIM and associated platforms) on medium to large-scale projects to deliver high quality outcomes for AECOM’s clients.
Day to day, your responsibilities will include:
Leading and resourcing building services digital team, including forecasting and managing allocation of technical work tasks
Ensuring BIM team is aligned with the building engineering teams and design objectives for project delivery
Reporting project status, modelling and drafting issues
Implementing and managing BIM processes as required on a project-by-project basis
Implementing REVIT integration initiatives with engineering design programs and specification documents
Contributing to the ANZ digital team national resourcing meetings, workshare opportunities and technical development workshops
Exploring new methods of efficiencies and technological improvements and being an active leader in digital transformation strategies, keeping up to date with industry development around BIM and disseminating information internally
Help to grow the practice through developing existing client relationships and identifying potential opportunities and prospects.
Provide technical expertise for submission of proposals on multidisciplinary projects.
Qualifications
You will be a proven people manager who has experience working with and implementing BIM who is able to demonstrate:
Technical specialist, with expert knowledge of REVIT MEP, Navisworks, Revizto & BIM360
Excellent working knowledge of the following services: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics & ICT
Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and meeting delivery requirements
Proven results in building team’s level of expertise
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven experience in model verification and drawing checking
Understanding of spatial requirements in 3D environment
Ability to prepare complete construction / engineering models, drawings and detail drawings
Knowledge of managing drawings deliverables and revisions and related quality assurance systems
Good understanding of BIM conventions and workflows
Good understanding of local NZ standards, BIM tools and software
