In strong expansion, our Transport group is currently looking for an engineer or technician in civil engineering with experience in project site supervision and monitoring. The team within which the candidate will evolve is made up of engineers and technicians working in railway engineering. The candidate will be called upon to actively participate in projects on behalf of ministries, cities, municipalities, railways, and private developers.
The main responsibilities of this position include, among others:
Supervision and Administration of construction projects;
Ensure the conformity of the work in accordance with the plans and specifications during the construction of the projects;
Control of the quantities of work performed for the reconciliation of payment requests.
Quality control of the work performed.
Search for relevant information relating to the current project
Follow up and participate in the supervision of the work;
Preparation of meeting minutes;
Meeting preparation and management;
Participate in monitoring projects, budget, schedule;
Ensure the quality of the services rendered.
Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements.
Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
General understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Qualifications required:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or Civil Engineering Technician diploma.
5 years or more of relevant experience;
Experience in the execution of construction sites.
Desirable Qualifications:
8 years of relevant experience;
Available for site trips;
Available for variable hours;
Written and oral communication skills (French and English);
Autonomy;
Sense of initiative.
