Job Description

The Role

The AECOM-GHD JV (C2CD JV) has been appointed the Contract Administrator for the Bruce Highway - Cooroy to Curra: Section D (C2CD) at Gympie. The C2CD project is a $1B upgrade of the Bruce Highway at Gympie. The project runs from Woondum in the south to Curra in the north, running to the east of Gympie.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Support Officerto join our project team at the site office based at Harvey Siding Road, Curra for a twelve (12) month Project Term Contract. Reporting to the Administration & Systems Manager, you will provide administrative and coordination services for a specific project site office and the administration team. You will work 40 hours per week across 5 days.

The Project Support officer will be a valued member of the Joint Venture team at Gympie and will be expected to conduct a broad range of activities, including:

  • Providing administrative assistance to our contract administration team members;

  • Entering and recording project correspondence through the document management system;

  • Formatting and preparing reports and other documents in line with writing and style guides;

  • Assistance with routine (weekly) reporting;

  • Scheduling project meetings for staff and clients and attending to reception duties as required;

  • Providing on-boarding support to new starters;

  • Attending to the smooth functioning of the project office, including procurement of supplies and consumables.

About You

As a Project Support Officer on the Cooroy to Curra: Section D upgrade, you will be supporting the Contract Administration team closely and will be expected to have some background and experience in the following:

  • Prior proven experience in a project administration support role within a site based or construction environment;

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with Word and Excel;

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills;

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent time management and the ability to handle fluctuating workloads;

  • Excellent attention to detail and high personal and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the use of a document management system (such as TeamBinder or Acconnex) would be highly beneficial
