AECOM’s Transportation Planning Division is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Transportation/Transit Planner for immediate employment in the Gurgaon office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an educational and career path in transit or transportation planning, with proven experience of contributing to planning efforts and other related projects. The ideal candidates will demonstrate an ability to be highly organized, work well independently and with teams, and the ability to communicate clearly. Collect, organize, and manage data to conduct transportation/transit alignment and facility siting studies
Utilize GIS and other tools to provide data-driven analysis for planning studies
Respond to questions and requests from project team members, clients, and other stakeholders
Participate in meetings with clients, members of the public, and other stakeholders
Specific Skills Required:
Knowledge and experience of software such as STAAD-III, WALLAP, Leap5,RM2000, SAP90. GTStudl, PROKON
Design Standards-AASHTO Codes
Working knowledge of MS Office software programs
Working knowledge of GIS
Demonstration of educational and career path in transit or transportation planning, with proven experience of contributing to planning efforts and other related assignments
Familiarity with transportation and multimodal planning principles
One year of relevant work experience or a relevant internship
Bachelor’s Degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Geography, Environmental Studies, Transportation Studies, or related field or demonstrated combination of education, skills, knowledge, ability and experience
Master’s Degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Geography, Environmental Studies, Transportation Studies, or related field or demonstrated combination of education, skills, knowledge, ability and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve transportation planning-related issues and challenges
Knowledge of the principles and practices of planning, research, and data collection
Analytical skills to interpret research data for reports and apply mathematics techniques in practical situations
Technical writing capability Travel data analysis, travel demand forecast, Urban Transport, Travel Demand Modelling’ using any of the available software’s like CUBE, VISUM, VISSIM, AIMSUN, SATRUN etc.
Excellent communication skills.
Prior experience in similar projects.
