AECOM India is seeking to hire an experienced Lead Engineer - Structural. The responsibilities of this role are as follows -

Responsibilities of this role are as follows:

Job Duties

  • Independently serves as the structural lead on various building projects while having other senior structural engineers within AECOM available for consultation when needed

  • Serves as direct and sustained supervisor of other engineers or technicians

  • Follow in full the document control and QA processes relevant to project work, ensuring drawings, specifications, reports and correspondence are issued, and filed / archived in an appropriate manner.

  • Assist others in compiling design specification within given deadlines including checking compliance with the project brief through calculation and cross reference of manufacturers literature; ensuring all relevant standards and guides are used as reference with the design specification.

  • Organise and carry out detailed design to AECOM Regulations standard, QA and technical review and sign off by project leader, including complex calculations and co-ordination issues.

  • Organise and undertake technical calculations to industry standards in conjunction with team members; supervise the work of team members to ensure the delegated work is completed to deadlines / standard and report to the project leader any issues, risks or client changes.

  • Prepare elemental work for project budget costing as delegated by the senior team member, within agreed deadlines and standards.

  • Contribute to and question technical and construction issues and encourage and help the trainees to better understand the design process.

  • Determine appropriate software for Computer Aided Design, construct models and undertake analysis and manual checks.

  • Serves as Lead Verifier to perform high level review of structural work for other projects within AECOM

  • Handles engineering services during construction including review of shop drawings, responding to Requests For Information, and performing Structural Observations

  • Takes personal ownership of one’s own work including stamping and signing construction documents and technical reports

Specific Skills Required

  • M.Tech / M.E.(Structures)

  • Experience in retail and airports medium to large projects including Steel Structures Design.

  • Experience in delivering projects in BIM and relevant software’s (preferred)

  • Working knowledge of various design software’s like ETABS, STAAD, SAFE, SAP etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Should have minimum 15-17 years’ experience in structural design.

  • B.Tech/ B.E.(Civil Engineering)

  • Contribute to the delivery and quality measurement processes

  • Contribute to the technical excellence in all our projects

  • Participate in team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams

  • Demonstrate an awareness of project risk issues, flagging potential problems to team leader

  • Flag resourcing concerns to team leader and assist colleagues to ensure team timelines are met

  • Complete timesheet accurately ahead of weekly deadlines

  • Knowledge of and experience using REVIT

  • Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design

  • Knowledge of industry standard computer analysis and design software such as RISA 3D, SAP, ETABS, etc.
