AECOM Construction Quality Control Manager in Greenwood Village, Colorado

An individual is required to work at Wake Island AFB, Wake Island as the Construction Quality Control Manager, work during the repair of Taxiway Bravo Ramp and Hot Cargo Pad.
Review site plans and specification packages, develop construction execution and work plans, and develop and evaluate appropriate task hazard analyses related to planned activities. The CQC manager will monitor ongoing work activities with respect to compliance to contract documents and recommend modifications to work flow as required. Individual will apply selected management software systems to track task execution, project schedule and budget. CQC Manager will submit routine/periodic reports and prepare project completion reports. The CQC Manager will create clear, concise and organized documentation of field events and observations.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Be on-site during all construction activities
Manage all quality control items related to the project
Prepare daily quality control reports
Manage 3rd party materials testing firm
Manage the engineering submittal and Request for Information process
Manage the preparatory inspection process
Liaise with Wake Island AFB Civil Engineers and other Government Inspectors
Work with AECOM Management and subcontractor management personnel.
Advise team members of specification requirements and recommend actions.
BA/BS plus eight years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Ideal candidate must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
Will be a graduate Civil Engineer or Construction Management with at least 10 years of construction experience.
Familiarity with government specifications and quality control/quality assurance procedures.
Working knowledge of Federal Contract delivery and Federal Subcontracting. Familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.
Knowledge and familiarity with construction building codes and standards as it relates to civil, structural, mechanical and electrical trades. Will have reach back capability to technical expertise in AECOM offices in the US.
Experience on heavy civil construction projects including earthwork, concrete paving, asphalt paving.
Airport or runway construction is a priority.
Minimum of 5 years construction related experience within the last 10 years as a CQC Manager
Proficiency with Web based interactive programs and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required.
Experience with electrical systems is preferred.
Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management for Contractors Certification is preferred.
OSHA 30-Hr Safety Training
Experience with Remote / Austere projects.
