AECOM Industrial Water/Wastewater Design Engineer in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, preferably environmental, civil, or chemical
5+ years of industrial water/wastewater system and process design experience, scoping and implementing industrial water/wastewater treatability and pilot studies
Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire (ability to become licensed in various states if necessary)
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated experience interacting with clients
Proficiency with computer applications including process modeling, word processing, spreadsheets and related applications (MS Office Suite)
Strong desire to assist in developing industrial water/wastewater business in North America
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, preferably environmental, civil, or chemical
Water/wastewater treatment design experience in variety of industrial markets
Experience with biological and physical/chemical treatment processes
Process modeling experience
Project capital cost estimating experience
Construction and commissioning experience
Engineer/procure/construct (EPC) and/or design-build experience
