AECOM Senior Transport Planner/Engineer in Gold Coast, Australia

Job Summary

AECOM have established an office in the Southern Gold Coast and are looking for suitably experienced Transport Planner/Engineer to join our local team.

This role provides a unique opportunity to join a premier Tier 1 consultancy firm as we continue to expand our Gold Coast operation. An opportunity to join a team who share a passion and desire to contribute to AECOMs increasing presence in the Gold Coast and Northern NSW Regions, supported by the trusted industry reputation and strong multi-disciplinary capabilities of our existing SEQ operation.

We have an established pipeline of moderate to major sized City Shaping infrastructure projects in the Gold Coast and surrounding regions. With several recent high-profile engagements, including the Central Gold Coast East-West Public Transport Study.

This role will directly interface and work in close collaboration with our Transport Advisory team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will support the SEQ team in winning, managing and delivering a diverse range of transport infrastructure projects for private and public sector clients. They will be supported to leverage and build on their skills to deliver strategic planning and design advice for multimodal transport, freight, public transport, cycling / pedestrian studies and associated business cases.

As part of this role your primary responsibilities will be:

Minimum Requirements

  • 5-15 years relevant professional experience

  • A strong technical background with demonstrable experience in traffic, public transport, and/or active transport planning and analysis

  • Experience in transportation planning for cities/ regions / corridors and various transport modes

  • Experience in preparing and delivering robust business cases

  • Experience in bidding, winning and delivering Civil Infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time, including preliminary evaluations and/or business cases.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in engineering, geography, mathematics or transport planning.
