Job Description
As Environmental Approvals Lead you will guide and support our portfolio of high-profile clients through strategic planning, environmental assessments and approval pathways for exciting energy transformation, transportation, Defence and 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games projects.
You will contribute to strategic growth, technical excellence and innovation in multidisciplinary environmental assessments and management planning.
What will you be doing…
Lead strategic planning for high profiles projects to secure State and Commonwealth approvals
Manage the delivery of complex approvals on major projects, including coordination of multidisciplinary technical teams, environmental impact assessment and approval processes
Proven technical leadership and confidence managing multidisciplinary technical teams to identify risks, solve problems, communicate change through planning, design and approval processes.
Provide technical advice and strategic planning for impact assessment and approvals across a diverse range of projects and environmental services
Manage resources, delegating activities, monitoring and managing project budgets (with support as required)
Prepare proposals and discipline-related inputs for tenders or other business development activities
Qualifications
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Regional/Urban Planning or Environmental Planning, Science or Engineering
Relevant environmental assessment and approvals experience in a consulting environment
Demonstrated experience in successful application of Commonwealth and State planning and environmental legislation
Project management skills, including schedule, resource and budget management
You will take pride in your professional approach and commitment to excellence, whilst maintaining the ability to enjoy what you do! You relish your role as key liaison and confidante, always staying one step ahead.
