Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Working Capital Supervisor to oversee a staff of Billing Specialists, conduct analysis and work with internal financial leaders. This individual will join a fast paced environment, with focus on accurate and timely processing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of Project Billing Specialists. Will supervise approximately 12-15 staff

  • Planning and management of departmental procedures and working closely with operations and other internal customers

  • Resolving issues associated with project accounting, billing, accounts receivables, client requests, and audits; and assisting project management

  • Familiarity with all aspects of project billing and receivables; will serve as technical resource for staff

  • Work closely with the Working Capital Manager to improve performance of the billing and cash teams and improve cash flow through the identification of process improvements and best practices

  • Provide effective leadership and training to less experienced staff

  • Oversee staff to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met

  • Manage a team to obtain the best results and provide the best customer services for both internal and external customers

  • Create, maintain, action and communicate complex Excel based reporting mechanisms to all levels of the organization

  • Define, measure and utilize metrics to improve performance of project billing and cash teams

  • Manage and ensure compliance with standard procedures, key control objectives and risk mitigation measures

  • Support internal and external auditors

  • Have ability to present and communicate initiatives, results, and analyses to multiple levels of management

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience in accounting/finance setting

  • Accounting/Finance undergraduate degree or equivalent accounting experience

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • Candidate must work well with diverse teams and individuals

  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Access

  • Experience creating and maintaining complex Excel based reporting mechanisms

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Self-motivated leader and a detail-oriented professional
