AECOM is seeking a well-rounded, experienced project engineer to serve as a leader in our Storm Water TMDL/Modeling group. The focus of this role is to take the lead on the technical aspects of our important storm water work related to Chesapeake Bay preservation efforts.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Performing and leading both field and office tasks associated with storm water modeling, TMDL planning, and BMP designs.
Designing BMPs in accordance with the new VDEQ Clearinghouse standards.
Developing TMDL Action plans as needed.
Demonstrating and transferring knowledge of VA storm water banking, alternative delivery options, and the storm water regulatory community.
As part of a regional storm water team and this position will assist management with market analyses and business development plans relative to the storm water market.
Setting appropriate priorities and effectively managing resource requirements such as time, talent, budget and materials.
Solving problems and making sound and timely decisions using knowledge, experience and judgment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
13+ years of experience, 3+ years of which included overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of small to mid-size projects.
Registration as a Professional Engineer
Must be able to design BMPs in accordance with the new VDEQ Clearinghouse standards.
Candidate must be an excellent written and oral communicator and capable of performing and leading both field and office tasks associated with storm water modeling, TMDL planning, and BMP designs.
Knowledge of VA storm water banking, alternative delivery options, and the storm water regulatory community is a must.
Experience with developing TMDL Action plans is preferred
Certified Floodplain Manager, Certified Stormwater Manager, Qualified Environmental Professional, or other advanced certification preferred
Major pipeline E&S and stormwater permitting experience
