Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Analyst, GBS for employment in our Glen Allen, VA office. This role on the Senior Analyst reports to the Global Business Services Systems/Projects/Analytics Director. The primary responsibility of the Sr. Analyst is to lead efforts in business analytics and project implementation within GBS. This includes overseeing and owning global financial reports and scorecards, and creating value added analytics on ad-hoc reporting, providing project support, and ensuring quality project deliverables are on time. This position is also responsible for driving enhancements related to data findings and metrics.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in audit requests and large finance/technology related projects

  • Creates SQL and Discoverer reporting

  • Develops and implement metrics and SLA tracking for our offshore partners

  • Develops dashboard reporting tools, scorecards, KPI’s, and performance metrics

  • Evaluates cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed

  • Supports budget analysis and business case creation for a large, global organization

  • Develops, maintains and distributes ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed with ability to deliver and create complex reporting under strict deadlines

  • Provides technical support including training and coordinating GBS staff

  • Researches and provides data analysis on industry benchmarks, operational metrics, and best practice reporting

  • Supports and trains on all technical initiatives and projects

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 7+ years relevant work experience of technical development in finance/accounting or technology

  • Strong technical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office products

  • Working knowledge of SQL report writing/coding and Oracle ERP systems

  • Communicate Effectively - Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

  • Foster Teamwork - Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions; ability to actively engage stakeholders, clients and staff to ensure processes are executed consistently

  • Lead - Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization

  • Possess Strong Analytical, Decision-Making, and Presentation Skills – Ability to provide value added business analysis and data to determine the importance, urgency and risk related to processes; make recommendations and/or provide resolution options

  • Organization and Planning Skills - Set priorities, create project plans, and monitor progress towards goals/activities. Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans

  • SQL and Oracle experience

  • Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • PMO experience or certification

  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent

  • Robotics experience
