AECOM Senior CAD Technician - Water in Glasgow, United Kingdom

Job Summary

The UKI Water team are looking for CAD technicians to join our team to support our joint venture with Caledonia Water Alliance in Stepps (Glasgow). The successful candidate will be an experienced CAD technician – specifically with Autodesk Civils 3D skills – and will have experience on a variety of non-infrastructure projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing CAD deliverables for multiple projects to completion within budget.

  • Coordinate and validate project deliverables in accordance with quality procedures and client requirements.

  • Advise and mentor junior CAD colleagues.

  • Comply with quality policies for project delivery.

  • Contribute and suggest best practice, processes and technology developments to sector and regional CAD/BIM leads.

  • Support and contribute to maintaining CAD standards, best practice and processes for modelling, content creation and advanced digital developments.

Minimum Requirements

Unfortunately we are unable to progress applications in this role for candidates requiring visa sponsorship.

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent).

  • Experience in a position where design was a major part of the role.

  • Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered or working towards obtaining chartership.

  • Experience working within water industry on water and/or wastewater projects.

  • Knowledge of Safety in Design principles and accustomed to working to a high standard in terms of H&S compliance.
