You will have the opportunity to be involved in the delivery of major schemes within the water sector following our success on Wessex Water, Thames Water and Severn Trent Water in partnership with Contractors such as Kier, Murphy, Ferrovial/Laing O'Rourke and Morrison Utility Services.

Work closely with our Water and other supply discipline teams nationwide.
Be expected to deliver a high calibre of technical quality, contribute to bids, and interface with clients and collaborators in design and planning.
Seek innovation and strive new methods, being inquisitive by nature.
Be able to see the delivery through from conception to handover.
Be responsible for the design of mechanical installations typically including municipal water and wastewater pumping stations, ventilation systems, penstocks and valves, odour control systems, pipework. Some of these projects will be large-scale and prestigious cv-builders.
Visit the site to carry out site surveys and the support of liaisons with clients, government authorities, contractors, suppliers.
Be tasked with delivering to agreed budget, programme and quality along with supporting the preparation of project budget & programme.
Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Propose approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identify discrepancies in results.
Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
We are looking for you to:
Be experienced in Water and wastewater treatment project across feasibility, outline, detailed design, construction support extremely desirable.
Have experience using a 3D Design tool and other proprietary software products.
Input into process and instrument diagrams, control philosophy and HAZOP reviews.
Have experience of MCC, PLC/SCADA and instrumentation specification and design.
Have a degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
Work toward a relevant professional chartered institute; for example, IMechE.
Be able to take full responsibility for producing, to check and to approve engineering reports and designs.
