As a Graduate Consultant within our Data Analytics and Visualisationteam, you will be engagingclients in both the public and private sectors, both in the UK and around the world, supporting projects in sectors such as:
Water and Wastewater
Transportation – Roads and Rail
Energy and Utilities
Oil and Gas
We develop innovative, class-leading solutions, supporting projects and programmes from inception through to execution. We are a diverse and driven team, sitting within the Cost Intelligence strand of our Advisory Buildings and Places portfolio.
As part of the Data Analytics and Visualisation team, we support our clients in gaining a greater understanding of the project data available to them, advising on data capture and management, all the way to building bespoke interactive dashboards for use on their programmes, using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
In support of our organisationalstrategy and given the wider global trends, we are seeing an increasing number of projects in the New Energy and Sustainabilitysectors.We support clients ontheirjourney towards low carbon and sustainable solutions, in turn doing what we can to support a sustainable future.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The role can be varied and is dependent on the client, sector and project, which can include:
Analysing project data
Visualising PMO data through the use ofanalytical tools including Power BI and Tableau etc.
ETL operations on client data sets to facilitate analytical activities
Creating efficiencies through automation of manual tasks
Providing recommendations on improving data management and reporting processes
Providing quality assurance on deliverables
Cost modeland cost estimate developmentincluding third-party verification and validation
Statistical analysisto support benchmarkingand efficiency exercises
Business case development andcost-benefit analysis(financial and non-financial)
Evolving our data capture technologies internally
We expect our Graduate Consultants to:
Work with the wider team to support our clients to understand and evaluate strategic options to supportproject decision-making
Collaborate with more experienced team members to design data modelsand data analytics dashboards to help our clients identify the optimum business, organisational, programme, or commercial models to deliver their organisational strategy.
Participate in stakeholder engagement sessions, taking notes where required and identifying areas for further development
Support senior members of the team in ad hoc tasks relating to internal initiatives and business development
Ask questions to learn and increase their understanding of the sectors and project areas in which we work
Proactively manage their own development, setting realistic goals and monitoring progress along with their line manager
Identify opportunities to utilise new toolsto improve our service offering to clients
Take pride in their work, ensuringquality and timely delivery
As aGraduate Consultant at AECOM, you will have exposure to many of the above tasks, utilising your skills and experience,and benefiting from exposure to new areas of study and research. You will have responsibility for deliverables within your projects and initiatives, driving innovation with the support of colleagues. You will be technically excellent, providing leading solutions to clients that solve problems in an efficient and effective manner, whilst supported by senior team members. You will be open andinterested in the broad range of projects we are involved with, linking with the wider business.
AECOM operates an agile working policy, allowing the location of this role to be flexible.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (min 2:2 or equivalent) in a STEM, Finance, or Business Analytics/Management discipline
Member of relevant industry body (desirable) with supportingaccreditation/certifications
Skills and Experience :
Knowledge and interest in theinfrastructure sectorand its ongoing developments
Strong capability in the Microsoft Suite of products. A working knowledge of Power BI would be desirable, but not essential.
An appreciation ofthe power of data analytics to support day-to-day business operations for our clients
Effective decision making with strong verbal and written communication
Proactive and driven
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to work with a wide range of Clients and Consultants
Buy-in to achieving deadlines set by Clients and Managers
Able to produce auditable outputs with a clear record of error checking and demonstration of validity in results
