As a Design Engineer, you will provide valuable support to Project Managers through the Design Lead Engineers and the project design and delivery cycle, identifying the need for design resources and specialist input (ecological, geotechnical, hydraulic modelling & MEICA).
Role responsibilities include timeous delivery, quality, budget, HSE and ensuring compliance with Scottish Water’s established specifications and procedure. Delivering outline and detailed designs of wastewater infrastructure will be a key focus.
The successful candidate will provide valuable support to Project Managers and Design Lead Engineers throughout the project design and delivery cycle, identifying the need for design resources and specialist input (ecological, geotechnical, hydraulic modelling, MEICA etc.) As a Design Engineer you will also take responsibility of mentoring technical design staff and managing stakeholder expectations possessing knowledge of crucial design processes and communication skills.
Engineering degree qualified.
Chartered Engineer Status (or approaching chartered status).
Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.
Experience on major water and drainage infrastructure engineering projects.
Civil Engineering degree
Experience on the technical delivery of largescale wastewater engineering projects
Industry recognised Health and Safety qualifications
Experience of having undertaken a mentoring role in developing staff capabilities
