About Our Team:
We are a friendly, hard-working team who enjoy working together and working with AECOM. Our Scottish Building Surveying team consists of 10 professionals based in our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices. We are also a core part of the national UK Building Surveying Team which consists of almost 70 Building Surveyors. Our passion is to support, mentor, collaborate and co-operate as one team. We deliver as one team and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of professional integrity. Honesty, trust and respect for others are really important to us.
We have all worked remotely since March 2020, and due to AECOM’s incredible infrastructure and associated hardware, together with our software and online platforms, our collaboration, co-operation and support network has improved and increased during this period.
Our team is made up of subject matter experts across many fields of professional practice, including dilapidations, technical due diligence, NEC Supervisor services, large scale condition survey programmes, building conservation, and contract administration.
Between us, we have very strong education, healthcare, industrial (both manufacturing and logistics), office and commercial sector expertise. We welcome the opportunity to share our knowledge with you and help you grow and develop your specialist skills.
If you are still on your journey towards your professional qualification, we will support you via our structured training programme, AECOM’s ADVANCE programme for graduate development, and extensive mentoring, tutoring and shadowing opportunities. We provide extensive support in your journey to your final assessment interview. Our UK building surveying leaders will participate in multiple mock assessments of professional competence interviews and Q&A sessions with you to aid you in your preparation for your assessment.
In addition, our team leaders have strong financial, business development and operations business skills and we coach and train our team in these ‘softer skills. It is important to us that our team members understand the core business functions that sit behind their main role as we find this helps their career progression.
