Job Summary

Our ideal candidate for this role will lead by example and participate in full cycle recruiting including sourcing, candidate interviews, coordinating interview schedules, etc. The candidate will be responsible for managing the Commercial Operations and Maintenance (COM) talent function and must have a have a track-record of successfully inspiring and managing a small recruiting function in a high-growth, hard to fill, fast paced environment such as a facility management, heavy manufacturing or a service company. You will bring an innovative, creative problem-solving mindset to understand where to find and recruit the best talent and will thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-changing, and highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate must also have a strong recruiting background to lead a team in using the best recruiting and social platforms in various labor markets. The candidate must also possess excellent communication skills and business acumen. He/she will be able to dive deep into the trenches, while simultaneously acting as a strategic partner to candidates, hiring managers and our talented recruiters. He/she can quickly diagnose challenges and are solutions-driven in their approach to addressing them. You love to fine-tune existing process and create new and innovative ways of doing things. In this critical role, the candidate will be expected to maintain AECOM’s unique and diverse culture, and continuously evaluate how business priorities translate into recruiting goals. You will be passionate about developing and challenging our recruiters, enabling them to find the best talent.

Location : Fulltime, Position will be located Germantown, Maryland.

Compensation : The position will be rewarded with a base salary and potential incentives when the team achieves/exceeded goals.

  • Manage the COM recruiting team to include posting and distribution of requisitions including meeting OFCCP guidelines, meet hiring goals, coach and manage team members performance; provide hiring information as needed regarding new business opportunities and organize and coordinate the hiring for new accounts, etc.

  • Responsible for full cycle of recruiting including candidate sourcing, conducting phone interviews, coordinating interview schedules, presenting qualified candidates, initiating background checks, and drug testing, negotiating and closing offers and capturing information in offer letters to candidates.

  • Build strong, credible relationships with senior leaders, hiring managers, critical stakeholders and partners, operating as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert by delivering on expected results.

  • Possess the experience or know where to go and find the needed knowledge to understand the various employment markets in order to design, implement, and deliver an effective talent strategy to source and attract the highest caliber talent to support the company business.

  • Provide leadership, inspiration, and coaching to a smart, ambitious full cycle recruiting team. Hire, lead, manage, develop and mentor recruiters across multiple locations while driving a high level of performance against our ambitious hiring plans; supervise others in a deadline-driven work environment

  • Manage metrics that measure talent acquisition's effectiveness across multiple search vehicles in order to refine hiring forecasting capabilities, and establish and report monthly, or as needed, on key recruiting metrics (time to fill, conversion ratios by recruiter, call backs, employee retention, etc.) and provide data-driven, actionable insights across the organization.

  • Maintain and continuously improve employment brand through multiple channels, including the strategic use of social media in partnership with the communication team.

  • Bring the same data-driven continuous improvement rigor to the end-to-end candidate experience Build comprehensive recruiting plans and define the vision, strategy, and goals for the talent acquisition team as it relates to various locations and accounts.

  • Create innovative programs, events, and campaigns to generate awareness, build diverse candidate pipelines and drive recruiting efforts.

  • Continually evaluate current and potential diversity recruitment practices, ideas, opportunities, and affinity partnerships to increase the ability to source diverse candidates.

  • Work cross functionally with Operations, HR Business Partner, and Communications teams to develop brand awareness and implement, measure, and monitor metrics, the employee value proposition and brand strategies.

  • Manage employment agency relationships and foster collaborative relationships so AECOM is “top of mind” as they discover the best talent in the market.

  • Build a data-driven recruiting organization, evolving recruiting metrics and analytics that provide insights, drive decision making and measure team productivity and program ROI. Refine and manage back-end recruiting operations capabilities, including sourcing, screening, and coordination functions.

  • Get to the root cause of any issue to solve problems, no matter how complex, and design and quickly implement solutions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required.

  • 8+ years of combined experience in internal recruiting, executive search and/or consulting with demonstrated success in building out, leading or managing teams of high-performing individuals that can meet the hiring objectives and needs of the business.

  • A valid Driver’s license and the ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must possess strong analytical skills and ability to work with metrics, numbers, and trends.

  • Incumbent must become knowledgeable of the Corporate HRIS system and applicant tracking module is required.

  • Must insure compliance with Company OFFCP regulations.

  • Combination of in-house and agency recruiting experience with the capability in driving efficiencies in the use of technologies, process, and workflow. Experience with enterprise level talent systems including Kenexa BrassRing.

  • At least 2 years of experience building relationships and consulting with Hiring Managers through the open requisition, sourcing, debrief and offer stages.

  • At least 2 years of experience in computer skills including in-depth internet and social media knowledge. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, and database applications.

  • Proven leadership with a vision and strategy for talent acquisition in a highly dynamic organization.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with metrics, numbers, and trends.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
