Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Geologist Intern I for employment in several office locations. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.
This position is expected to begin May/June 2022, or sooner upon availability.

Job Overview:
The Environmental Science Intern will get hands-on experience working with our Remediation team in California.
Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:
Assist with fieldwork (e.g., groundwater and soil sampling, remediation system operations, site inspections)
Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
Compare investigation findings to relevant studies and provincial/federal regulations to assess compliance, draft reports documenting results and presenting findings
Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis
Willingness/ability to travel to job sites and assist with fieldwork as needed
Minimum Requirements
Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, or related field
Candidate must have completed 1 year of study
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheets, and other standard office software
Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required
Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required
Preferred Qualifications
GIS experience preferred
40-hour HAZWOPER training
Environmental site investigation coursework
Additional Information:
Candidates may be asked to submit a drug test, MVR (motor vehicle record) and/or medical surveillance screening at the time of hire
This position is expected to be full-time in the Summer but may offer flexible scheduling to work part-time.
Relocation assistance and/or per diem are not offered for this position
