AECOM Civil/Water Resources Engineer in Germantown, Maryland

Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in water resources OR other related degree
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with MS Office Programs/Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software
A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn, and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven environment
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) required; must be on track to attain Professional Engineer license
Experience in working in a collaborative consulting engineering environment
More advanced experience with standard computer software for the position (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)
