Job Summary

AECOM has a great opportunity for an Assistant Controller to assist in the direction and administration of Company financial operations. Manage the preparation and review of budgets and various other financial operating reports. Prepare analysis and interpretation of financial results to provide a basis for management planning, cost controls and Company performance. Plan and direct the implementation of cost control methods and accounting activities. Manage several accounting departments. This position will report directly to the Director of the Service Center, with responsibility for managing the General Ledger Accounting group. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for the Closing Processes, Indirect Rate Applications, and Account Reconciliations.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.Manage accounts receivables, billing, accounts payables, payroll, budgeting, tax compliance fixed assets, general ledger, cost accounting systems and personnel for multiple Company divisions.

2.Prepare financial, cost and budget reports and analysis, incurred cost submissions, forward pricing rates, etc. as required.

3.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and guidelines, government regulations and individual contractual requirements.

4.Interface with Corporate Headquarters staff functions, Company Directors, other company personnel, Government and private auditors.

5.Direct implementation and maintenance of financial system software.

6.Participate in business planning. Decision making is often multi-functional, and requires highly complex problem solving.

7.Demonstrate development and application of new systems, processes, or techniques that contribute to the achievement of business area goals.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field and at least 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • CPA

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications

  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

  • US citizenship is required to get access to the office building.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Costpoint Accounting System
