AECOM is now hiring qualified AH-64 Electrician/Armament Mechanic in support of Aircraft maintenance operations at Fort Wainwright, Alaska location.
Must be familiar with all facets of aviation phase and unscheduled maintenance procedures. Ability to operate various machinery and ground support equipment, technical manuals, and automated aircraft logbook systems. Perform primary duties as an aircraft Armament/Electrician performing Aviation Field and limited Sustainment Level maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and phase maintenance. Prefer hands on experience with these AH-64D/E Attack Helicopters.
In addition to Mechanic I, Electrician, this mechanic performs line maintenance, related to aircraft armament systems and munitions loading. Duties include: install and remove armament related suspension equipment, launchers, adapters, etc. on aircraft to support configuration requirements; install and remove all armament equipment to facilitate other maintenance.
In addition to Aircraft Mechanic I duties, the Aircraft Mechanic I, electrician, applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is checked frequently for accuracy. This individual must have an aviation background comparable to an Aircraft Mechanic I, but should have an electronics specialty. These individuals will read blueprints, build wire bundles, install wire bundles, use electronic test equipment, prepare aircraft for flight line inspection, trouble shoot aircraft electronics, and determine courses of action regarding troubleshooting procedures. This position is not limited to common wiring practices but also the ability to test instruments, maintain onboard circuitry and fabrication of electronic components as necessary.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: 3 years required, 5 years preferred actual and recent depot/phase level aircraft maintenance/modification as well as unscheduled maintenance experience is required.
Prior experience with U.S. Army various field level and limited sustainment level maintenance on US Army AH-64, CH-47, and UH-60 Helicopters highly preferred.
Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
May be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check.
Aircraft Mech I, Electrician, Armament technician desired experience is AH-64 D/E aircraft.
