Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Site Manager for immediate employment for the Freeport, TX office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The Site Manager is a leadership role that supports a local geographic office, typically one of the satellite offices co-located on or adjacent to a Dow operating facility. This role is multi-faceted and involves frontline staff management, project delivery, financial performance, and client facing business development.

Site Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Staff Management / Development / Mentoring – Serves as Office Manager or Lead for staff management including supervisor role for senior staff, timekeeping and expense report responsibilities. Supports staff development and mentoring programs including employee recognition and serves as the hiring manager for new employees.

  • Drive Portfolio Performance for the Office– including bookings, revenue and margin targets; Support the forecasting of annual budgets. Experience with profit & loss responsibilities is required.

  • Marketing/Business Development – Support the development and implementation of the growth strategy; actively participate in program-level business development initiatives. Target growth areas include environmental, EH&S, civil infrastructure, transportation, and construction management.

  • Client Relationships/Satisfaction - Develop and manage relationships with local key clients, and extend relationship building into desired growth areas of client operations; monitor voice-of-the-customer feedback regarding on-going work

  • SH&E Performance - Understand site expectations and requirements; work with Project Managers (PMs) to ensure awareness and compliance

  • Serve as the Office delegate for maintenance, fleet vehicle maintenance, IT systems, emergency planning, etc.

  • Work Quality Management – Oversee all aspects of project delivery (technical to financial performance), verify project management execution, ensure QC of project proposals & deliverables

  • Participate in routine communications including Dow Program Communication

  • Excellent communication and client facing skills

  • Problem-solver; effective communicator one-on-one and with large team groups; self-starter/motivated.

  • Superior customer service

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in related environmental field from an ABET accredited college or university.

  • 10 years of environmental industry experience.

  • Field application knowledge of environmental service including: drilling, sampling, field data gathering, and /or remediation

  • Previous experience in civil infrastructure and construction management industries

  • Previous experience directing multi-discipline teams

  • Previous experience client facing and building lasting relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sales/marketing of services to a client (environmental, civil, construction management) preferred;

  • 3 years of experience as a frontline manager of staff

  • Prior experience managing profit & loss at the office (business unit) level

  • Ability and willingness to engage in outside networking and association functions in the local market.

Additional Information:

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States Work Authorization.

  • Ability to travel 10% of time

  • Requires enrollment in the medical monitoring program requiring initial and annual physicals.

  • Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and random drug screens, in addition to Hair follicle and Breathalyzer as drug screens, DISA background check for entry to client facility.

  • Must possess valid Driver’s license.
