Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer III - Water Group for employment in the Franklin, TN office. This office offers a mix of direct design and client-facing work. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a combination of local and regional projects with a variety of scopes and applications. With an emphasis on water/wastewater conveyance and pumping system and water resources design, you will work on projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases, including alternative delivery projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
Provides task management with assistance to Project Manager.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

With more than 3,200 Water professionals in all major markets throughout the United States and Canada, AECOM’s Water business line leverages nearly a century of local, national and international project experience to provide today’s municipalities, industries and governments with cost-effective solutions to their Water challenges. We deliver our services—from environmental planning studies to detailed design, construction management, and operations and maintenance—to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Our public sector work encompasses everything from small rural communities, to large urban centers, to agencies with regional responsibilities. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
4+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater conveyance and pumping and water resources engineering and design
Demonstrated project engineer experience with some experience managing projects or components of projects
Demonstrated time management skills, work ethic, and attention to detail
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Occasional business travel of one to two days per week may be required
Must have a sound foundation in the planning, permitting, and design of engineering projects
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering
Professional Engineer in Tennessee or able to obtain within 12 months.
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with technicians, designers, engineers and project managers for the preparation of high-quality work products
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, regulatory agency representatives and members of the public when required to represent the company
Experience and desire to engage in active project management, including client management, project scheduling, cost management, procurement, and technical oversight
Technical engineering knowledge in water, wastewater, and/or water resources design
Candidate must have proven excellent leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3-D software
Working knowledge of ArcGIS suite of software
