Job Description

.As a result of continued growth in workload and project opportunities across transportation projects, AECOM have an opportunity for an experienced Technical Director to provide support on a range of transformational transportation projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Based in any one of our SEQ offices (Brisbane, Maroochydore or Gold Coast) and working within an industry leading team, the core focus of this role will be the building and strengthening of AECOM’s Transport Advisory presence and market share in SEQ and across ANZ through provision of excellence in project delivery, technical leadership and coaching, development and mentoring our colleagues.

We are looking for a Technical Director with proven TMR and local government experience (or suitable interstate/overseas experience) in Design Manager or Project Manager roles leading multi-disciplinary teams in pursuit of, and in the delivery phase of design for major transport infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

About You:

This key role plays a key technical leadership role across Civil Engineering across ANZ, and will see you:

  • Demonstrated experience in the following is essential:

  • Technical leadership and governance of multi-disciplinary teams in internal and client facing roles.

  • Design of highways and associated infrastructure to RPDM and/or Austroads standards.

  • High quality technical and non-technical report writing in plain English.

  • Demonstrated experience in the following is desirable:

  • Commercial/contractual management of projects on behalf of the Consultant.

  • Design experience under 'design only' and 'design and construct' delivery models.

  • Experience in the preparation of TMR Transport Infrastructure Contracts, or similar infrastructure delivery contracts and specifications.

  • Experience in the delivery of Preliminary Evaluation and/or Business Case projects under TMR OnQ or PAF processes.

  • The role requires the applicant to be RPEQ qualified and CPEng status (or be eligible through a mutual recognition or other pathway).

  • Excellent communication skills, be driven by outcomes, have a conscientious and detailed approach, along with a positive and pro-active approach to the team
