Job Summary

This is an exciting role within our growing ANZ Sustainability Practice working across our Buildings + Places, and Civil Infrastructure business units, based in our Brisbane office. With a history of working on some of the most influential infrastructure, building and policy projects, our team comprises of specialists working collectively and virtually across Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Wellington.

Your opportunity will focus on advising our clients on all matters pertaining to sustainability with a focus on maximising your impact on our efforts to mitigate future climate change and promote intergenerational equity.

You will be an integral part of a high performing team. We will empower you to deploy your most limited resource – time – to its greatest effect, working on projects where you can influence the greatest change. We are currently working on some of the largest buildings and civil infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand, and with your help, our legacy will be positive.

As part of this role you will:

  • Provide leadership in sustainability to internal and external project teams on our major infrastructure and/or buildings projects, delivering against our client promise and their sustainability aspirations.

  • Provide clear, consistent, evidence-based and up-to-date advice and communication to clients on the broad array of sustainability themes and issues and the urgent need to address the climate crisis.

  • Maintain a current working knowledge of industry and economy-wide issues (codes, legislation, carbon markets, initiatives and so on) related to sustainability, climate change and its impacts on our clients’ businesses.

  • Undertake technical sustainability investigations and design discipline coordination to optimise designs and generate efficiencies.

  • Develop bespoke solutions that help our clients strive towards low-carbon, net zero carbon and/or carbon neutral outcomes for their projects and procurement supply chain.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience working in similar Sustainability roles, ideally in a Professional Services Consultancy

  • Have a passion for driving optimum design and engineering outcomes.

  • Experience using infrastructure and/or buildings industry sustainability/wellness rating tools (Infrastructure Sustainability (ISCA), Green Star (GBCA), WELL Building Standard (IWBI), NABERS, LEED will be well regarded) and ideally hold accredited status with some or all of these organisations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, climate change, environmental science/engineering (or similar.
