As a result of a significant project pipeline, our Electrical, Instruments & Controls Team based in our Resources and Industry Group in Brisbane has an opportunity for a Principal Engineer to support our growth.
Working in a dynamic, consulting environment on major mining, heavy industry and resources projects, you will utilise your electrical systems experience including HV, LV, instrumentation, lighting, controls and communications, vendor package integration, to drive the continued development of our team.
As a Principal Engineer you will champion technical excellence and provide mentorship to our less experienced team members. Client liaison and project management opportunities will be provided on your career path to Director, working for an international consultancy.
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with minimum 12 years' experience designing industrial and mining power, electrical, instrument and control systems;
Demonstrated experience in the design and specification of industrial and mining systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications and safety systems;
Proficient in producing and reviewing engineering documentation such as technical drawings and specifications, datasheets, scope of works and material requisitions;
Possess current knowledge of the relevant industry standards and the application in compliant designs;
You will be someone who is looking to achieve outstanding results and most importantly, be someone that enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting ideas, and encouraging others to develop their skills and experience.
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering;
CPEng and/or RPEQ (or working towards obtaining.)
