AECOM Millwright Journeyperson in Fort McMurray, Alberta
AECOM is hiring a Millwright Journeyperson to join our CNRL Horizon project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. We have both Perm and temporary positions available on a 7/7 or 14/14 shift schedule.
Millwrights install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities.
Millwright Journeyperson will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:
Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments
Perform predictive and operational procedures
Repair or replace defective parts
Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
May do some tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a Journeyperson welder) and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts
This is a fly-in/fly-out position and as such will be subject to the Government of Canada’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements:
Depending on your Vaccination status, it is a requirement to follow these instructions.
Fully Vaccinated (2 shots + 14 days) – Proof of vaccination and a rapid test done within 72 hours of travel (if you have been off CNRL site for more than 30 days).
Driving – If you are driving to site, you will require proof of a negative rapid test within 72 hours of travel.
Starting December 21st, 2021 - anyone accessing a CNRL facility will be required to be fully vaccinated.

This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Certified Journeyperson and/or holds a valid recognized credential
CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
Confined Space Entry (OSSA or ESC equivalent)
