AECOM Material Management Foreman in Fort McMurray, Alberta

AECOM is currently seeking a Material Management Foreman to join our CNRL Horizon project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a Full-Time position on a 7/7 shift rotation unless otherwise specified.
Material Management Foreman will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:
Consistently display all the knowledge, skills and abilities directly related to the Material Management requirements.
Supervising the workers and may or may not actively perform trade specific site work; must know all the jobs on the site and be capable of filling in as necessary.
Lead a small group of employees in the same trade, playing an intermediate role between workers and supervisors and is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of the team, helping the workers to meet goals, and mediating concerns with upper management.
Reports into Trade or General Foreman, depending on size of the project.
May report directly into Superintendent if smaller project.
Understand and follow AECOM’s safety management system and core values.
Foster a cooperative and positive work atmosphere.
Liaison between client and AECOM in regards to material allocation, staging, shipping, receiving.
Oversee and Participate in the Unloading and Receiving of all material goods from central warehouse and special delivery vendors.
Oversee and participate in the checking of goods against materials allocated to work orders.
Verification of Receiving documentation.
Verification of MTR and Heat numbers on process equipment and weld materials.
Processing and Submission of all documentation related to the goods being received.
Overseeing and Participating in the assembling of Shipment orders:
Picking goods and materials.
Preparing freight for outgoing shipments communicate with Froth and Extraction maintenance coordinators about material passes and relay out going material.
Loading shipments for transport.
Organizing and escorting 3rd party shippers onto and off of horizon site.
Verification of shipping documentation and ensuring proper materials are loaded and prepped for transport creation of 3GTMS shipping documents, communicate with warehouse shipping, communicate with purchaser/buyer about any discrepancies from the vendor.
Completion and submission of shipping documentation to CNRL.
Inventory and Staging of materials :
Ensuring inventoried materials are tagged and organized correctly.
Training crews in the labelling and binning of all material accurately with a high attention to detail.
Overseeing and participating in the staging and organization of work order materials for job execution prior to work crews arriving to work site.
Overseeing of finding and requisitioning parts and materials for emergency and break in jobs in a timely fashion without risk to person, property, reputation, environment.
Hold valid Forklift/Telehandler certifications and be competent to mentor new workers in the proper use and safe operation of the machinery.
Ability to operate, inspect, maintain Forklift/Telehandler equipment in a safe and professional manner with risk to person, property, reputation, environment.
Oversee and Perform housekeeping and cleanup tasks to maintain a safe work environment and tidy plant after work orders have been executed.
Enter locations of staged material and goods into Maximo for work crews to be able to identify and locate at time of work scope.
Ability to review maintenance schedule and break in work and organize crews to stage. materials in a timely fashion to not impede the execution of job scopes.
Practice strong inventory management and stock optimization skills.
Use and Maintain the Material Test Reports (MTR).
Work with QC, warehouse and vendors for any discrepancies.
Train, Mentor and coach new employees in proper material shipping and handling expectations and responsibilities.

Material Technician Journeyman Certification that meets AIT requirement (Apprenticeship and Industry Training) or proof of hours (Over 6000 hours) upon request
Previous experience supervising/leading crew(s)
Previous materials tech/warehouse technician or related experience is required.
Experience in the industrial warehousing industry, including Shipping, Receiving, and Working the issuing counter.
Previous maintenance services (i.e. routine maintenance, turnaround, shutdown, outage) experience is required
Physical strength and stamina
Safety conscious attitude
Able to operate Forklift equipment and have experience in operating an order picker forklifts, if and when required
Hold a valid Forklift/Telehandler certifications and be competent to mentor new workers in the proper use and safe operation of the machinery
Previous Material Test Reports (MTR) / document management experience (i.e. scanning, email, enter data & filing)
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020)
Other safety ticket(s) and orientation(s) required, as per the project or client team
SAP or Other warehouse/inventory management system experience is preferred
Working knowledge of (and use of) Maximo, 3GTMS and/or E1 is preferred
