Job Summary

AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm is currently seeking a Journeyman Instrumentation to join the maintenance team for our CNRL Horizon Site in Northern Alberta.

This position is on a 7/7 rotation and the candidate will be hired on as an AECOM employee and not as a contractor.

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation equipment on new or existing plant equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control equipment

  • Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures

  • Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, and diagnose faults

  • Consult with and advise process operators

  • Implement loss management practices

  • Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts

  • Do risk assessments

  • Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications

  • Work with engineers on basic design

  • Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes

  • Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices

Minimum Requirements

  • Alberta Certified Journeyman Instrumentation Technician or Inter-Provincial Red Seal

  • Construction Safety Training System Ticket (CSTS-09)

  • OSSA Fall Arrest

  • OSSA Confined Space

  • Valid Driver’s license and driver abstract

  • Pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4- 5 years’ experience in an Industrial Maintenance role

  • Experience working and executing maintenance in a live Plant

  • Team Player dedicated to delivering results

  • Personal Commitment to safety

  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

  • Personal Management Skills

  • Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
