AECOM has a contingent opportunity for a
Shipping Packer in Ft. McCoy, WI.
The Laborer prepares finished products for shipment or storage by placing them in shipping containers, the specific operations performed being dependent upon the type, size, and number of units to be packed, the type of container employed, and method of shipment. Work requires the placing of items in shipping containers, and may involve one or more of the following: knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content, selection of appropriate type and size of container, inserting enclosures in container; using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage, closing and sealing container, and applying labels or entering identifying data on container. Package and Preserves Army owned assets IAW DOD and AR criteria. Exclude packers who also make wooden boxes or crates.
High School Diploma or equivalent
0 – 2 Years of related experience.
HAZMAT certified a plus.
Must have working knowledge of AR 700-143 Packaging of Hazardous Material, AR 700-37 Packaging of Army Material.
Must have general supply warehouse management operations.
Must have ability to take direction from others and complete assigned tasks.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.
Must have a driver’s license.
Forklift experience preferred.
Ability to understand and use safety items and personal protective equipment (PPE) that is mandatory and actively supports the EHS safety program.
