AECOM Estimator in Florida, Florida

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Estimator for immediate employment in the Tampa, FL area.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with a team of estimators/schedulers/managers by reviewing contractor's cost proposals

  • Assist in developing quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates

  • Providing group support in researching wage/equipment rates, production rates, construction materials, means, and methods

  • Providing group support with others in maintaining schedule and cost data and references

  • Utilize and learn commercial off the shelf cost estimating software

  • Assist in developing quantity take-offs, construction sequences, and cost estimates based on provided plans; and, interface with project managers and various design disciplines to determine scope and review work.

Candidates in this position can expect to be

  • Introduced to the Company estimating systems and processes.

  • Introduced to estimating terminology, measures, concepts, and principles for preparing estimates.

  • Exposed to various processes, project actions, and assumptions that may impact estimates.

  • Gather, calculate and compile data for use in developing all types of estimates.

  • Perform the routine aspects of estimating assignments.

  • Assist senior specialists in performing various estimating functions as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS or AS with 2 Years of relevant experience or HS with 4 years of relevant experience

  • Valid U.S. Driver's License

  • Due to the nature of this job, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications
