The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Superintendent will be responsible for managing construction subcontractor activities in their respective discipline;

  • Responsible in conjunction with the Site Safety Manager for the implementation of all aspects of health and safety;

  • Liaise with the client representative to ensure all client requirements within the current scope of work are satisfied;

  • Provide responses to subcontractor requests for information, coordinate with engineering as needed;

  • Work with the Project Controls professional to develop a schedule for the project including dependencies and contract milestones, and monitor subcontractor progress against schedule;

  • Monitor subcontractor performance against all specifications and product requirements. Address and remedy any non-conforming work with subcontractor;

  • Evaluate and resolve subcontractor change order requests;

  • Job will require temporary relocation to various construction sites;

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • The selected candidate will be subjected to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Registration Screening (MVR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mechanical/Piping superintendent with 10 + years of experience

  • Experience in heavy industrial construction such as fossil and renewable power generation, air pollution control, wastewater treatment, and material conveying systems.

  • Familiarity working in an operating facility, adhering to lockout/tagout procedures, and confined space programs.

  • Knowledge of current National Construction Codes.

  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 training or equivalent health, safety, and environmental certifications.

  • Proficient computer skills with all basic office programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook) and the ability to learn and use related software and systems are required.
