Job Summary

AECOM’s Edmonton office is currently seeking a Reclamation Specialist to join our team of professionals within our Environment Business Line.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Providing technical reclamation expertise in support of ongoing AECOM environmental investigation and remediation projects for a major multinational oil and gas client

  • Assist with developing and mentoring members of the Alberta based team

  • Managing field-based reclamation programs

  • Prepare reclamation related reports (pre-reclamation assessment, DSAs, vegetation monitoring etc.), work plans, specifications, proposals, along with providing oversight/review of junior staff work products for regulatory compliance and technical accuracy

  • Develop and maintain budgets and project schedules for reclamation field programs

  • Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants, and external agencies

  • Support and drive AECOM’s quality, project management and performance management systems

  • Excellence in communication and collaboration skills that facilitate detailed planning, timely decision-making and efficient implementation

  • Dedication to teamwork and technical excellence

  • A proven ability to analyze data, write reports, provide quality control and assurance and present results to clients

  • Conducting field inspections when necessary to monitor work activities and train less experienced staff members

  • Signing Professional Declarations and report sign-off (desirable)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • P.Ag. designation

  • 5+ years of professional experience

  • Construction Management Experience

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Enthusiastic, positive and highly driven

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

  • Focus on efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • MSc will be also be considered favorable

  • Project Management experience

  • Bilingual (English and French) an asset
