AECOM Project Coordinator, Rail in Edmonton, Alberta

Job Summary

AECOM Edmonton is looking for a Project Coordinator. This position will be based out of our railway client's Edmonton office but is currently remote. eRailSafe background check is required for this role.

The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work independently with minimal guidance except for complex and unusual situations.

  • Prepare and administer multiple Tender Packages for projects across Western Canada simultaneously.

  • Multi-task and balance constantly evolving priorities, remaining highly organized at all times.

  • Summarize and evaluate bids, assisting Project Managers to select successful proponents.

  • Liaise with Contractors, Consultants, and Internal Stakeholders, including addressing RFIs, claims, progress payments, disputes.

  • Maintain and control project documentation and records, including ensuring all project close documentation is on file.

  • Review civil engineering designs for compliance with the applicable standards and provide actionable recommendations to the Engineer.

  • Performs site visits to monitor progress and to interface with stakeholders to ensure the Client's interests are protected.

Minimum Requirements

  • Highschool + 4 years of experience in contracts administration, construction and/ or project management on heavy civil projects OR Technical Diploma/ Certificate + 2 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor Degree in an engineering field.

  • Driving license

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications – Word, Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • CET, EIT is an asset

  • CP, CN experience is ideal

  • Contracts administration, construction and/ or project management on heavy civil projects.

  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.
