AECOM Mid-Level Environmental Engineer - Remediation in Edmonton, Alberta

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Midlevel Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Remediation group in Edmonton. We are seeking an experienced candidate with some project management experience who is an excellent communicator and technically proficient, with a working knowledge of relevant Alberta and Federal regulations. The successful candidate will work with an experienced team of engineers and scientists on environmental site assessments, remedial design/remediation, and environmental support on multi-disciplinary projects in Alberta and across Western Canada and the Canadian Arctic. This position will involve project management responsibilities and technical contribution.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordination and management of projects:
Work on interesting, fast-paced projects with the opportunity to learn and expand skills
Preparation of proposals and scope change documents
Setup and tracking of project financials
Preparing a project plan summary when a project is initiated
Setup and maintain project risk register Preparation of invoices
Plan and direct environmental assessment, sampling and remediation programs, and critically evaluating analytical data
Preparing progress reports, and other special reports as requested by the client.
Preparation of distribution of meeting minutes
Coordination of deliverables, including some review of documents, reports, presentations, technical memoranda, and other work products
Tracking requirements of the quality management processes to ensure they are met.

Bachelor Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or Geological Sciences, and
PEng or PGeo in Alberta or eligible within 8 months
2 years experience in environmental consulting, specifically contaminated site assessment and remediation and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.
5 years experience in environmental consulting, specifically contaminated site assessment and remediation
technically strong, with a solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work
good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with liaising with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors alike
excellent verbal and written communication skills
well organized, and strong quality and time management
self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative
proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications
highly motivated and willingness to learn new tasks
