You will be managing high quality and robust equality impact assessments on a range of prestigious infrastructure projects for our clients in the rail, road, water, regeneration and sustainability sectors, as well as supporting on the assessment and development of national, regional and local level plans, strategies and policies. You will also have a leading role in growing AECOM’s social impact and value consultancy offer and contribute to the development of innovative approaches for our clients.
You will be joining a supportive, dynamic and growing team of social impact specialists within the UK whilst also developing our capabilities with global AECOM colleagues. As a national team, we are flexible in terms of base office location across our offices in London, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be joining a market leading, experienced team, with support available to grow into your role. Responsibilities will include:
Management of a range of equality impact assessments and other social impact related assessments.
Contributing to business development activities for equality impact assessment work.
Establish strong working relationships and successfully collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across AECOM.
Developing and managing junior team members in the equality social impact assessment team.
Playing a role in the development of the Impact Assessment Practice Area.
Providing advice on equalities and human rights issues to colleagues and clients.
Supporting the development of our social value, social impact and ESG advisory consultancy offer.
Proven experience and understanding of the implications of the Equality Act 2010 in relation to planning, major infrastructure, urban regeneration and environmental enhancement schemes including undertaking infrastructure-related Equality Impact Assessments.
Enthusiasm for support
- Bachelor’s degree, and/or Master’s degree.
