AECOM are looking to grow our UKI wide Ecology team and have opportunities at Senior and Principal levels across the country. If you are an ecologist looking for a change, please do get in touch! Our Ecology Team comprises over 160 ecologists based across the UK and our teams enjoys the benefits and security of a large corporation, but we work as a small close-knit ecology consultancy. We have mentors within the team who provide support at a personal level and guide the development of skills and experience. Our UK Ecology Team and covers all terrestrial, freshwater and marine habitats. We provide our clients with the full range of ecological services including specialist habitat and species surveys, impact assessment, advice on biodiversity mitigation, offsetting and enhancement, and management planning for biodiversity.

Minimum Requirements
Previous work experience in the ecology sector within a professional consultancy (or relevant NGO or academic experience if applicable)
A keen interest and understanding of British wildlife and conservation – evidenced through voluntary work, training courses, charity memberships, hobbies or related work experience
Proven experience of undertaking habitat and protected species surveys - at least 1 full season of surveying experience
Pro-active, reliable and willingness to travel between project sites
Well organised with good time management and communication skills
Ability to record data efficiently and methodically
Able to complete field surveys proforma to a high standard using iPads/Touchpads and basic software packages (Excel, Word etc)

A relevant degree in Ecology or related subjects
Working towards or holds one or more protected species survey licences (for great crested newts or bats)
