AECOM Project Surveyor in Edinburgh, United Kingdom

Job Summary

Are you a Project Surveyor or Senior Project Surveyor looking to work on building projects that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?

If so, we are looking for an experienced Project Surveyor to join our team in Scotland (Edinburgh or Glasgow) to support our exciting growth plans to work within the healthcare, government, science and education sectors, defence and commercial sectors. About Our Team:

We are a team of dedicated cost who aim to provide a “best in class” service that provides our clients with cost certainty on their projects and protect their commercial objectives at all times.

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated surveyors to support this exciting phase of our growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full suite of Cost Management duties to AECOM clients.

  • Lead Cost Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.

  • Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.

  • Ensures commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.

  • Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.

  • Be an interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).

  • Ensure all staff members reporting to you have current and relevant training.

  • Delivery of cost management outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.

  • Proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre-Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.

  • Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.

  • Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilize digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.

  • Experience of project types/sizes/sectors within our active sectors in the UK (and preferably Scotland) – i.e. Healthcare, Commercial Offices, Education and Industrial

  • Able to work under own initiative where appropriate working closely with the Senior Cost Managers and Associates in the delivery of some of our projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.

  • CSCS card
