Are you a Project Manager looking to work on construction projects in Scotland and further afield that are always more complex and innovative than the last? Or are you an Assistant Project Manager looking for the next jump in your career with a company that can provide you with more opportunities to grow and succeed?

If so, we are looking for a Project Manager with a few years of construction experience to join our team in Edinburgh or Glasgow to work on a variety of interesting projects for a variety of clients. You will be joining a regional team of project managers from a variety of backgrounds that have a passion for innovation and delivery. Ideally, you will be chartered but we will consider candidates that are part-way through the process to chartership to a recognised body such as CIOB, RICS, APM, etc.

About Our Team:

Job Responsibilities:

Dependent on project size and complexity, you will either be the Project Manager or a member of a wider project team responsible for NEC3/4 project management, proactively engaging with the client, management of the design team to drive the project forward. You will be required to prepare succinct and accurate reports that do not dwell on past achievements but look forward and identify clear actions, giving the client an accurate picture of project progress and associated risks. You will be required to positively engage with the construction and design team and work collaboratively with stakeholders, both internal and external to achieve the aims of important projects for Scotland and the UK as a whole.

Minimum Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Highly motivated, able to work independently, diligent and with an eye for detail;

  • Experience working with contracts such as NEC or similar;

  • Ability to produce formal reports and documents which clearly set out complex issues and recommendations;

  • Academic Qualification – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Status (or working towards) with the RICS, CIOB, APM or other equivalent institution

  • Project Management specific qualification i.e. APM or PRINCE2

  • NEC4 (or 3) Accredited Project Manager
