Job Description
Searching for a Technical Director Hydrogeologist with analytical and numerical groundwater flow and solute transport modeling background. The right candidate will be familiar with the geology/hydrogeology of various environments including sedimentary and fractured rock settings, statistical analyses of groundwater data, groundwater modeling and DNAPLE/LNAPL investigations.
Responsibilities :
Makes recommendations on work methods and procedures and technical innovations by devising practical and economical solutions to problems in own discipline.
Makes recommendations on research requests, objectives, priorities, and timing.
Assess need for change and recommends development of standards.
Assess work against standards, objectives and specifications.
Utilizes advanced scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies when working on unusually complex technical problems.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Develops solutions which are highly innovative. Assignments are often self-initiated.
Acts as advisor to management and clients. Oversees the work of less experienced scientists.
Posses multi-disciplinary knowledge.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 8 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
Analytical and numerical groundwater flow and solute transport modeling background.
The right candidate will possess a strong groundwater modeling experience and have a background of leading hydrogeologic investigations at large complex sites demonstrating history in the development of remedial strategies and closure, including statistical analysis of hydrogeologic data, well-field design, installations, contaminant fate and transport analyses,
Groundwater modeling using MODFLOW, MODFLOW-USG, FEFLOW, PEST, MT3D, RT3D, and MODPATH (SEAWAT and FEFLOW desired but not necessary), LNAPL modeling;
Decision tree development and preparation of feasibility studies and remedial action plans.
