Job Summary

AECOM are looking for a forward thinking, dynamic

Treasury Director to support our Irish Treasury Centre based in Dublin.

The role will see you working with our Treasury teams in Dublin and Los Angeles to drive the execution and optimization of key functions, including:

  • Cash and liquidity management

  • Cash flow performance

  • Treasury partner to AECOM’s EMIA region

  • Global netting and intercompany debt management

  • Risk management (foreign exchange, project and business risks)

  • Bonding – advance, performance, retention and financial bonds

  • Sarbanes Oxley and process controls

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Engage with EMIA leadership team to achieve cash flow plan and be the champion for AECOM’s Treasurer priorities across the region

  • Ensure sufficient liquidity to support global operations, adding/enhancing banking infrastructure and cash management strategies as needed

  • Manage excess cash generated to serve AECOM’s capital allocation priorities

  • Manage FX and interest rate exposure

  • Support business development needs, facilitating project financing needs and issuance of project performance LCs, bank guarantees and surety bonds

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, DOA, AECOM and applicable regulatory policies (i.e., OFAC, etc)

  • Coordinate key initiatives applicable to the region (for example, leading M&A, new bilateral financing lines, etc)

  • Manage day-to-day transactional needs of global operations, including transfer of funds, issuance of letters of credit and bank guarantees and execution of FX hedges

  • Manage domestic and foreign cash and bank account structure, supporting consolidation and cash pooling efforts to improve liquidity and lower transaction fees

  • Oversee monitoring and remediating of bank accounts to ensure proper controls in line with corporate policy

  • Drive process improvement between Treasury and operations to enhance cash management capabilities, improve risk profile and lower costs

  • Management for global netting platform

  • Spearhead Treasury reporting/automation efforts (e.g., daily cash positions, cash pooling, journal entries, netting, intercompany settlements, bank account inventory).


Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role we would like to hear from candidates with the following;

  • Relevant treasury experience in addition to demonstrated success in delivering key project initiatives, collaborating across corporate finance functions and managing and retaining people.

  • Undergraduate and advanced degrees in business, economics, mathematics, accounting or sciences are required. Professional certifications desired.

  • Knowledge of risk management tools and processes (e.g. Bonding, Surety, etc.)

  • Desired project experience includes cash pooling structures, automation and bank account remediation.

Candidates should have experience within a large multinational corporation, particularly in areas pertaining to treasury, finance and accounting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate and advanced degrees in business, mathematics or sciences are required.

  • Professional certifications desired.
