AECOM Senior/Principal Civil Engineer - Development in Dublin, Ireland

AECOM continues to expand its successful and established Development team across UK&i, we now require a Principal Civil Engineer to join the Development team in either of the following locations Dublin,Cork, Belfast, Leeds, Norwich and the South East. The team has an established track record of successfully delivering high profile development schemes with multi-disciplinary capabilities, offering opportunities to work on a wide range of exciting UK&Irish and International projects.
You will have a proven track record in supporting the delivery of innovative and cost-effective solutions to development engineering projects. In this role, you will be involved in a range of challenging, dynamic and high-profile projects. Typical duties will include overseeing the design and development of drainage and water supply networks for housing, industrial and commercial applications.
Reporting to a company Director and will be responsible for taking the lead on a variety of Civil Infrastructure projects. Your duties will include the preparation of and overseeing the production of technical reports, liaising with stakeholders, and checking and reviewing designs. We will encourage you to develop your career and take part in CPD initiatives to help you further develop your skills.

We provide development engineering, traffic and transport planning support to private sector clients from concept through to implementation. Our wide range of clients includes developers, retailers, landowners, corporate entities, blue-chip companies and Universities.
Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local and national development and civil infrastructure projects.
A selection of our current and recent projects includes:
Numerous development engineering projects for mixed-use, retail, commercial and residential developments
Master planning advice on infrastructure deficiencies, upgrades etc. for developers on key strategic development schemes
Public Sector Infrastructure Schemes including Detailed Design of Cycle, Pedestrian and Bus improvements
You should have a good knowledge of industry-standard software models including Microdrainage; AutoCAD 2D , Civil 3D and BIM; an understanding of Flood Risk Assessments; experience of overseeing development of detail designs including design drawings (where applicable 3D applications); report writing; site inspections; supervision of junior engineers and Technicians. The role will also include management of project-related correspondence and providing support on project information concerning costs and programme. You should be an excellent communicator and able to work closely with private and public sector clients as well as multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. The role would ideally suit a self-motivated individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic team.
Experience in the majority of the following is required:
Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems
Surface water and foul gravity collection networks
Foul pumping stations and rising mains
Watermain distribution pipelines
Attenuation and flow control elements
Pavement and highways geometric design
Package wastewater treatment systems
Familiar with Road and Pavement design, including working knowledge of DMRB.
Site suitability assessments and drainage planning requirements
Experience in the preparation of NEC Conditions of Contract
Prepare fee proposals including resources and programme
Input into civil engineering aspects of planning applications
Manage the preparation of technical and client reports, bringing together the contributions from other specialist areas of the business
Attend project and Client meetings on behalf of our business
Deliver projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations
Familiarity with and adherence to Institution of Civil Engineers or Engineers Ireland’s Code of Ethics and working towards obtaining the title of Chartered Engineer of Engineers Ireland or Institution of Civil Engineers
Candidates should have the following experience and qualifications; Hold a degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s Degree is preferred but not essential.
Relevant work experience including experience in the delivery and management of projects from a design delivery and financial management.
